The tips provided will help you take your game to the next level. It helps bridge the gap between casual gamers and professionals.GGPoker deployed Ask Fedora new in-client online poker coaching tool that uses deep learning to analyze your game and provide immediate post-hand advice right at the tables.

The tool was created in consultation with GGPoker ambassador Fedor Holz, but the system uses artificial intelligence and neural networks to give its recommendations, GG explains.

The company didn’t detail exactly how it works – and it avoided using the term optimal game theory — but, presumably, the advice is based on GTO cheek.

The tool can be used immediately after a hand ends by simply clicking the “Ask Fedor” button at the table. Your hand is analyzed and you will receive a five-star rating on how well you played the hand. You can then drill down and see how you are rated for each action taken. If you made a wrong decision, the best option is given.

This system has been in the works for some time. PRO revealed that Ask Fedor was in development five months ago, noting at the time that it would likely be integrated directly into tables and might involve a subscription level.

Holz himself said to PRO at the time, it would be “a totally different beast to anything on the market”.

And, indeed, this advice is not cheap – all players receive five free “requests” to test the system, but after that will require a monthly subscription. A basic subscription costs almost $30 per month and grants 30 requests, $100 per month unlocks 120 requests, a Premium subscription at $200 per month is unlimited – and is the only level that allows gambling analysis GG’s “VIP” at $25/$50 or more.

All subscribers get 50% off their first month, but subscriptions are handled separately from the in-game cashier. It’s available on both desktop and mobile, fuse poker understand.

“The perfect poker player does not exist, and each of us is curious about the best way to play a hand,” GGPoker Global Ambassador Fedor Holz said in today’s press release.

“That’s why we created Ask Fedor – your hand is analyzed in real time and the advice provided will help you take your game to the next level. It helps bridge the gap between casual players and professionals, and doesn’t is only available on GGPoker!” he added.

GTO Solvers on the market today

Ask for the Fedor logoCoaching and training tools are obviously nothing new, and we are seeing more and more online poker sites incorporating these features into their products.

PokerStars has its longstanding coaching platform — relaunched as PokerStars Learn last year — and recently launched Level up with Lex, a personalized video training tool. Unibet has its integrated Game Lab, a section of which offers general recommendations for improvement. partypoker has My gameits own interactive coaching and training platform which also claims that its advice is based on the best GTO cheek.

However, all of these are offered free to all gamers and are seen primarily as a way to help casual gamers improve their game while keeping them within the brand rather than looking elsewhere for third-party tools and services.

GGPoker’s Ask Fedor is billed much the same – the website explains its rationale for creating the tool to “help bridge the skills gap, help the game grow while educating and supporting our community”.

“We want to give all players equal access to tools to help increase their poker IQ,” he says.

However, the price point puts it at the high end of today’s best GTO solving tools, and the fact that it locks the game to VIP top-level subscription-free tables suggest that GG also sees Ask Fedor as a premium product that justifies a high price.

Its success will therefore depend on its accuracy, and this will have to go through player tests. There are few details on the site as to how exactly it works, only stating that it is powered by Prometheus AI, which appears to be a reference to a cryptocurrency trading bot (GG could not immediately confirm s is the same AI tool).

In fact, the premium tier puts it among the most expensive GTO solvers on the market, roughly online with Run it Once Poker Vision. The most famous Hold’em GTO solver, PioSOLVERis priced as a single license with no scan limit.

Tier Hold’em GTO Solvers: Pricing

PioSOLVER $249 – $1099 per license

GTO+ $75 per license

Simple features, one-click analysis

Looking at the feature set, Ask Fedor looks much simpler than other third-party tools on the market. It is not possible to configure custom scenarios or explore results. There’s a single button to analyze a played hand, and the scoring is simplistic, offering a star rating of every decision you’ve made and suggesting a better play if identified.

How to use Ask FedorThe correct poker game is balanced – many decisions involve a mixed strategy of folding, calling and raising at different frequencies – so how this boils down to a single recommendation is unclear.

There’s more sophistication in its history section, which shows all previous hand analysis the tool has done, and shows performance graphs over time to see if your game has improved.

This appears to be an extension of the existing PokerCraft tool (see more in pokerfuse full review of GGPoker), a comprehensive hand tracking and analysis tool that offers a competitive alternative to third-party tools such as PokerTracker and Hold’em Manager. This has been extended with a new Ask Fedor section.

There are also notable restrictions on game types. It currently only supports NL Hold’em cash games, Money Rush fast-fold games, and NLH tournaments – there is no support yet for PLO games, bounty tournaments or sit and gos like Battle Royale.

Get your results in Ask FedorThe system also does not understand various scenarios, such as those with money drops or dead chips. For tournaments, it is disabled when in the money. Hands that have more than four players in the hand post-flop are excluded.

It also only includes hands with six active players. The tool will be available to 7 or 8 players, but only when the first or first two players fold, making it a 6 max game. It will be fully disabled at 9 hands.

All of these current restrictions aside, the real benefit with Ask Fedor on third-party tools will be its one-click implementation: the ability to see how well you’ve played immediately after closing the hand – without even having to leave the table – could certainly be very useful for some players. The fact that it also works on mobile might be a particular draw.

It remains to be seen how good this advice will be.

Ask Fedor is live today, April 29, and available for all hands played from today. All players receive five free “requests”. Subscriptions are then offered via regular monthly payments – game balance cannot be used.
