Many celebrities rocked see-through outfits on the red carpet, from sheer dresses to mesh tops.
Kendall Jenner, Lilly James and Vanessa Hudgens have all taken part in the trend.
Phoebe Dynevor ditched her colorful “Bridgerton” prom dresses for a skintight black number.
Dynevor was one of many stars to wear a sheer dress on Monday’s red carpet.
Her Louis Vuitton dress featured a mesh bodice and a pleated skirt adorned with sparkling sequins.
Vanessa Hudgens dared to go bare in a completely transparent black dress.
Hudgens proved that the nude dress trend isn’t going away anytime soon.
Her daring Moschino ball gown – which featured a high neck and puff sleeves – was designed by the brand’s creative director Jeremy Scott, according to People.
Kaia Gerber also followed the nude dress trend for the red carpet.
Gerber’s metallic Alexander McQueen dress shimmered with beaded fringe.
The sleeveless silver design had multiple cutouts on its bodice and a semi-sheer skirt. She wore it with matching sandals, voluminous curls that flowed down her back and jewelry from Kwiat.
Kendall Jenner’s Prada ensemble featured a sheer tank top.
The five Kardashian-Jenner sisters were on the Met Gala red carpet Monday, and Jenner’s black two-piece outfit featured a mesh tank top decorated with embellishments.
And her voluminous silk ballgown skirt featured a flowing train, as well as layers of gathers.
Maude Apatow turned to Old Hollywood for her Met Gala inspiration.
The “Euphoria” star’s off-the-shoulder column dress was designed by Miu Miu and covered in crystals and beaded fringe.
Her cups and sleeves were black velvet, while the sheer skirt featured a polka dot pattern and lace detailing.
Apatow completed the look with dark lipstick, a curly bob and a layered diamond choker.
Lily James wore a sparkling periwinkle dress with lots of cutouts.
James’ asymmetrical dress was held up by a single strap adorned with rows of pearls hanging from her shoulder.
It featured cutouts above her bust and waist, and the sheer skirt was just as daring with its high slit and short train.
Karlie Kloss brought gothic glamor to the red carpet.
Kloss’ custom Givenchy dress was made almost entirely of sheer fabric.
It also featured a lace trim, side cutouts and lots of sparkles. Kloss accessorized with elbow-length black lace gloves, a sleek ponytail and dark makeup.
Phoebe Bridgers’ see-through dress was covered in sparkles.
Bridgers wore a backless gown designed by Jonathan Simkhai for the 2022 Met Gala.
The see-through robe featured a chainmail pattern. Bridgers teamed the glamorous look with diamond earrings, dark lipstick and black nails.
Dakota Johnston’s jumpsuit was dripping with sparkling silver fringe.
Johnson’s Gucci sheer jumpsuit was black lace. The actress first walked the carpet with the outfit covered in a red dress, but quickly ditched the outer garment.

His shirt was bold of course, but his wide leg pants were also unique. They had a black polka dot print and a beaded belt to match her long earrings.
Conan Gray brought the drama in a sheer top, matching cape and platform shoes.
Valentino designed her see-through look. His shirt and pants were covered in sparkles, while his cape and shoes were a solid cream color.

Her sleeveless, high-necked dress appeared to be wrapped around her body with thin strips of shimmering fabric.
She wore the Tom Ford look with long black gloves, a ponytail, strappy sandals and heavy eye makeup.
Precious Lee paired a black corset with a see-through dress.
Altuzarra designed her ensemble, which had long sleeves, a head covering and a mermaid-shaped skirt adorned with gold sequins on its hem.
Louisa Jacobson showed it all on the red carpet in her Schiaparelli dress.
Her high-necked, long-sleeved dress was pleated mesh and had a tiered skirt that extended to just below her knees.
She wore the sheer dress – which was decorated with gold feathers and leaf ornaments – with gold sandals and matching earrings.
Lila Grace Moss wore Burberry to participate in the “naked” trend.
Her sheer dress had a strapless leotard that matched her skin tone under a mesh overlay.
The latter had long sleeves and a high neckline, as well as leaf-shaped diamonds and the Burberry logo.
“Elite” star Manu Ríos stood out in a see-through suit.
Moschino has designed its black and glittering two-piece. Ríos wore the sheer jacket with no shirt underneath and paired his matching pants with shiny dress shoes.
